About Pumas FC
Soccer Academy
The Pumas FC Soccer Academy was founded in the city of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, on February 7, 2011, with the dual purpose of profit and contributing to the development and growth of soccer in both children and youth. It is also born with the idea of supporting talented children and youth who come from low-income backgrounds, providing them with the support that their parents cannot afford. In doing so, we are helping society rescue these children and youth from gangs.
Our Story
Historical Review
Pumas FC is a soccer academy that originated in the city of San Pedro Sula with the idea of promoting the practice of soccer for children and young people.
It was structured so that each category has its own training program, starting with the U8, U10, and U12 categories. After a year of initiation, the U14, U16, and U18 categories had to be added. After three more years, the goal was to reach the amateur second division, in which the team once again achieved championship status and ascended to the fourth division. Once again, they became champions and earned promotion to the third division, where they have been competing for over 6 years now. The third division is maintained to provide experience for their players, and it’s worth noting that throughout this process, the competition in each category involved players aged 16 to 18.
Pumas FC has a specific program in place where contents, objectives, and methodologies are developed for each category.
We have a philosophy based on the following principles:

- Promote good football, contributing to personality development.
- Stimulate the formation of healthy lifestyle habits.
- Training sessions where players develop their creativity and experiment for themselves.
Coordinator and Sports Trainer
Marco Antonio Garcia
The distinguished Professor Marco Antonio García, popularly known as Toño García, holds the position of Coordinator and Sports Trainer at Pumas FC Soccer Academy. He has extensive experience in both youth and professional soccer. He holds an “A” License and has achieved the title of champion in the USPL in the Houston sector for three consecutive years.
Coach
Rommel Murillo
The former professional player and holder of the Coaching License C, Professor Rommel Murillo, joins the coaching staff of Pumas FC Soccer Academy as a coach.
